DS was founded in 1992 by former Bertelsmann MD Dietrich Schaefer who started working with Dorling
Kindersley in Eastern Europe as early as 1987.
The agency has grown since to become one of the
best known specialists in the non-fiction book business in Eastern Europe.

In the last 5 years DS has sold rights to publishers in Central and Eastern Europe in the last 4 years amounting to more than 7 million books with an
average annual royalty income of USD 500 000.
